In den US-Battle.net Foren hat die Community Managerin Lylirra vor wenigen Minuten angek\u00fcndigt, dass es sehr bald eine neue Beta-Version von Diablo 3 geben wird. Inhalt des neuen Patches wird vor allem eine neue Art der Speicherung der Charakterdaten sein.<\/p>\n

Davon bekommen die Spieler zwar nichts direkt mit, aber es ist wohl notwendig, dass alle laufenden Charakter, Guthaben und Auktionshaus-Angebote, Artisans etc. gel\u00f6scht werden. Wann der neue Patch kommt, steht nach ihrer Aussage noch nicht fest, es k\u00f6nnte bereits heute abend oder heute nacht sein, aber definitiv noch vor dem Wochenende: (Originaltext folgt:)<\/p>\n

Lylirra<\/strong>: In the next beta patch (coming soon), we’ll be making some changes to the way we store character data. These changes won’t be visible to players, but we’ll need to wipe all characters in Diablo III beta in order to fully implement them. As with previous characters wipes, this wipe will also affect gold, achievements, followers, and artisans.<\/p>\n

We’re currently looking to release beta patch 8 before the weekend — potentially as soon as this evening — but we don’t have a precise ETA. We apologize for the short notice and thank you for continued testing and feedback.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Nicht nur die Charakter sind betroffen, sondern auch die Achievements des Accounts. Es scheint sich also um ein wirklich wichtigen technischen Patch zu handeln, denn urspr\u00fcnglich war das nicht geplant. Urspr\u00fcnglich waren f\u00fcr den n\u00e4chsten Patch nicht einmal Charakterdatenl\u00f6schungen geplant wie Lylirra erg\u00e4nzt: (Originaltext folgt)<\/p>\n

Lylirra<\/strong>:Hey folks! Due to an upcoming change in the way we store character data, all characters will be wiped with the next patch beta patch. Since this wipe will also affect achievements, I wanted to drop a quick note in this thread to make sure you’re all aware.<\/p>\n

Originally, we weren’t planning to wipe characters, so that meant your achievements would still be available, but you just couldn’t complete any new objectives. The changes we’re making to character storage are really important, though, and a character wipe is necessary to fully implement them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Also h\u00e4ngt Euch nicht zu sehr rein in den bisherigen Patch wenn ihr etwas L\u00e4ngerdauerndes vorhabt, sondern verschiebt es auf den Beta Patch 8, der sp\u00e4testens im Lauf des Wochenendes kommen wird.<\/p>\n
