Hello Mr. xxx
I apologize if I seemed disrespectful at all with my previous casual acknowledgement.
I see you have questions regarding policies on Battle.net. Since I am not a lawyer, I am unable to answer these questions for you. I can assist you with technical issue such as installation problems, video issues, etc. If you wish to discuss these issues I recommend posting on our forums.
http://forums.battle.net/index.html?sid=3000
You can also use our suggestion forums at that link if you have ideas about how to improve or change the current system used to store and transfer items.
If you have any further technical questions, feel free to contact me back directly.
Sincerely,
Jon D.
Technical Support
Blizzard Entertainment
Well Mr. D.
First and foremost I just want to say that it is rather nice of you to address me by my last name, however you are still being impolite because you know my full name and I do not know yours.
It is somewhat tiring to always be presented standard, copied and pasted responses.
Let me give you a simple technical problem.
I used a modified d2gfx.dll to start diablo 2 twice on one of my windows user accounts.
I have bought the game twice with expansion pack for each version.
So youre company gained twice the revenue from me and I know many many other people where that is the same case, not mentioning even more copies bought by several people, to play on their own
Now comes the technical part.
The only thing that this modified d2gfx.dll allowed me to do is simple the starting of both games that I had bought at the same time.
I could also have set up a different user account on my pc or simply went for a virtual machine to start up diablo twice at the same time. Woudl not make a difference gameplaywise, and it would not be in any way work against any terms of use.
The modified d2gfx.dll was distributed by your official partners, and for years it has been accepted by Blizzard.
The modified d2gfx.dll alone is not in any way related to dupes, bots and other hacks.
It only allows the customer to start up his bought products at the same time.
Which f.e. is as far as I know a feature that has already made it into World of Warcraft and which could be easily avialable as a patch.
It does not change anything for those that have one installation of diablo 2, but for those with 2-4 it would only be a giant leap forward.
So basiccally what I want to say is, that I got my accounts, and basiccally all the time I have spent on Battle Net realms banned, because
your company was not able to incorporate a bit of code into it`s game (patch those codelines into the game once the advantages and popularity of that file, which in itself did not disrupt the gameplay and were a large part in maintaining the fun for many players), that was introduced by the community, spread amongst others by your official partners and even in some way or another, made it into other Blizzard games.
I will not go on about your advice of me using the official Battle Net forums.
I already spent quite some time on them and I do only get the feeling, that
a
They are not moderated, or otherwise I would have heard from your moderators.
b
No one at your company seems to read them at all.
By the way Mr. D.
If you would have read the EULA @ all, you could have easily answered the double port usage to the Battle net question.
It is really a bit funny, that looking @ all the e-mails that must have reached the Blizzard Technical supoport after 11.11.2008 with regard to Diablo 2, and EULA issues, you are not familiar with that agreenment.
I had included that, as one simple question to find out wether my mails actually get read, thinks for confiming that Blizzard/ the technical support does not do that.
thanks.
and also, if people of your company would actually visit and use the Battle net forums, there are already lists of what cheats/hacks have not been caught with the current wave of bans.
all you did was to throw us users out.
thanks again.
