•Increased the level cap to 65. Reaching level 61 will require the exact amount of experience as levels 1-60 combined. Each subsequent level will require an additional 30% more experience. Level 60 will still be the required level to play on Inferno difficulty. All combat calculations will treat levels 61-65 as 60 for the sake of balance. Each level beyond 60 will grant the normal attributes allotted per leveling up, as well as an achievement. We feel it's important to feel your character progress, even while playing the end-game, similar to the system we had in Diablo 2.
•New game mode added: The Endless Armies of Hell. Players will enter into semi-randomly created areas and engage in a hopeless battle against the endless armies of Hell. An elite pack will be spawned every 140 seconds, or 7 seconds after the pack has died, whichever happens first. Every fifth wave, a champion pack will spawn. After 20 waves, players will be randomly teleported to the lair of Belial, Azmodan, or Diablo. If a player defeats a Lord of Hell, he or she will enter a new area and continue this bloody cycle until their brave deeds are all that remain.
•Players will receive no loot while playing the new game mode, and items used will not suffer durability loss.
•Our plans are to maintain a "leaderboard" for The Endless Armies of Hell. This will be launched 1-2 weeks following the release of the new game mode. There will be weekly, monthly, and all-time leaderboards specific to each class, as well as a combined leaderboard that encompasses all classes.
•Achievements will accompany the launch of the leaderboards. In addition, the current all-time leaders for each class, as well as overall, will receive a cosmetic item for the duration of their reign at the top, to commend their bravery against the forces of Hell.
•All classes have received a minor bonus to their base attack speed. We feel that the nerf to attack speed on items was necessary to balance the stat against other stats. However, we felt that the impact adversely affected the experience of many, and have universally buffed the base attack speed of each class.
Auction House
•Added a fourth search filter to the auction house.
•Reverted the search filters in the auction house to alphabetical order instead of categorical groupings.
•Added the ability to filter by stats for specific legendary items.
•Implemented commodity auctions to the Real-Money Auction House.
Battle.net
•Reverted the alterations to text coloring that appeared in 1.0.3.
•Added the ability to create private chat channels.
•Fixed a bug in 1.0.3 where the chat interface would no longer default to the previously messaged channel/player when using the "enter key".
Items
•New legendary items added!
•Fixed the Attack Speed bug on previously existing legendary items.
•Reduced the durability loss items receive in combat. The durability loss they receive upon death remains the same.
