1."What efforts to prevent hacking are going into D3?"
"We want a fair playing field for all of our players and trying to learn from Diablo 2."
So that's how they're going to update measures to protect against that sort of thing.
2."How will PVP be different from Diablo 2?"
"We don't have any intention of the "go hostile anytime" gameplay from any of the previous games. We feel it hurts the cooperative gameplay too much. We will support PVP and will support it better than any of the previous products did, so it will get a lot more recognition than any other past games" Matchmakin with other players based on current quest is a possibility
3. "are we going some sort of haduken?" (Das scheint eine Frage bezüglich des Mönchs zu sein)
"I wouldn't discount anything, but at this time I can't say."
Quests will be expanded and explored upon. More gameplay mechanic quest and side quest.
4."What's the length of a normal playthrough and how will you handle replayability?"
"We do a lot of what diablo 2 did with randomizing environments, bosses, items, events... which works great for a while. Less straightforward boss farming. We have a lot of content, there should be a really compelling reason to do a lot of it. Best example of this is the quest system in WoW which really gets you to move around and do things. Players will do that if it's the fastest way to progress. Our job is to make the fastest way to progress in the game, also the most fun way to play."
5."Are we still going to see the Necromancer faction even if it's not a character class?"
"Just because you're not going to see a certain playable class, we want to make the world feel like it's a living world. Our story is constantly evolving. I can't give you a definitive answer, but our intent is to put a lot of that kind of stuff in."
6."Is Patch 1.13 relating to Diablo 3?"
"The D3 team is not the team that does the D2 patches, and I don't want to speak for them, so unfortunately I can't really answer that question."
7."Is there going to be a Paladin in D3 - at least in the lore?"
"We'd like to show you what has happened to not only the classes, but what happened to the characters you actually played in the game. So you may run into those characters during the game. We do have plans for those guys... they're long-term plans, but stuff's gonna happen"
8."Any additional features for Hardcore players alone?"
"Hit the Battle.net forums and tell us what you want to see!

"
"In Germany there were 8 guys who played through the entire game completely naked (in the game) and beat it." THAT'S hardcore.
9. Hier fehlt mir die Fragestellung......
Antwort:"High heavens are still pissed at Tyreal for interfering. That's all we'll say."
"Trying to give people a real world feel in the towns you're visiting - much more so than in Diablo 2. Also, we're really trying to expand on the feelings and small bits of story and lore you got in D2. Really trying to expand on the world of Sanctuary and the cultures and all of that."
10."Will there support for UI Add-ons in Diablo 3?"
"No, we have no plans to support UI add-ons in Diablo 3. We believe they vastly increase the complexity of your control systems / UI."
11. Hab hier auch keine Fragestellung finden können.. Ab hier sinds nur noch Infofetzen.....
"We're all big fans of blood, but we're still fine-tuning effects in Diablo 3 including blood, so we're gonna keep tweaking it. We want to make sure you get a lot of satisfaction from killing things." "We have no intention of removing things that are necessary to play the game just because somebody says they feel slightly less immersed in it. There's nothing that can really trump that for us."
Some effects have on/off toggles. But they won't go into detail about that.
"We would like the gold currency to be meaningful, so gold becomes an actual trade currency rather than 'perfect skulls' or something like that."
"I think randomly generated items, are the heart of a gaming system in the Diablo universe. It's definitely the desire that the random yellows (rare items) have the potential to be better than the unique ones. It's a tricky balance between makin the rares or the uniques better. I think the key for us is to look at what other roles the uniques could fill. We would definitely like the randomly generated items to be featured. In short - more rares, less uniques." More random stats rather than set stats
"We wanted to make sure finding your friends and getting into a party in the games is very important to us. We don't want people randomly hopping into your games and ruining the experience, so we're still exploring that." Less random people in your games and parties
"We're currently seeing if we can remove town portals. We don't like how they effect combat because it's a quick escape from any situation that isn't too pleasant for a person."
Waypoint system most likely will return same as in D2.
"Originally we thought we'd try to give you a character and let you spend the skill points, so we just decided to start people with a certain set of attack skills in the demo. you can focus on items that increase speed, etc etc."
Caster cast rate% and attack speed will return as a stat on items
Can no longer set witch doctor dogs on fire or plague them. They scrapped that idea. As shown in the new demo, they just verified it.
Hier mal wieder eine Frage: "Will there be class specific quests? Like will u need a required 8 barbs partied to beat a quest?"
"Class quest sounds like a great idea."
"Every monster that dies has a chance to drop loot for every player in the game. A boss would drop loot for every player. You wouldn't be able to see each other's loot. So no people takin gall the loot and running. Equal loot for everyone."
There will be an item transfer method between characters in the game for sure.
You have to make sure your players have an easy introduction to the game. We don't think it's the easiest game to play, but we want to make the game easy to start off with to attract a large community of players. D3 will come with a tutorial system as well. Still, there will be advanced features for veterans
"Are we going to have crafting? The answer there is no comment, YET. So you can read that however you want."
hard hits on certain demons will cause flesh to fly off.
Runewords are gone
D3 will have HUGE audio libraries per zone and area.
We plan to support PVP better, we are going to develop runes and skills and so they don't make the characters too weak and we try to consider PVP when working on those skills. Can't say much more than that. They want characters to be able to PVP and PVE with the same build
question from twitter: will there be a diablo 3 map editor?
"No, we don't intend to do a map editor since all of our environments are randomly generated and that would be very, very difficult to do and it doesn't cater to a map editor."
Will level design be new or similar to d2?
"There will be open fields and tight, tight corridors to test all different play styles."
"For the horadric cube, we really like the way you could take items and combine them. We weren't happy with the exact way it was done in Diablo 2. While we want to keep the essence of that mechanic, the actual implementation will likely be different."
"How is diablo still alive??"
They said they haven't stated that Diablo would be in Diablo 3, but he was being sarcastic.
"Some sound effects from old games are currently in the games, but they're mainly just placeholders. But I do have plans to pay tribute/respects to sounds from the older games, just can't say what those are going to be."
"Will gambling be in d3?"
They won't specify, but still want something other than killing to obtain items.
