Abandoned masterskill idea due to drama/balance, instead I'll replace some of the more useless skills:
Amazon
- Removed skills: Bloodspeaker's Mark (meh), Blades of Light, Champions of the Sun.
- Added skills:
Terminate
Melee spear/javelin attack that lowers the physical resistance of the target by 5% per level, breaking immunities by 1% per level.
Decent sized area of effect, but 10 second duration + 10 second timer, so aim well.
Solar Elementals
Summons elemental orbs with a decently powerful attack, and a chance to inflict a lower resist curse (Sunburn) on striking.
Curare (uberskill)
Passive, adds poison damage to your weapon attacks. An alternative to maxing MM for weapon builds.
- Rebalanced skills:
Wraith Arrow: Damage increased to 3/2 per ghost.
Buckshot: Shards per level 2 > 3; fixed graphic.
Lightswarm: Now gains +1 bolt per skill level; removed range bonus; removed magic conversion. I know this will end up overpowered.
Assassin
- Removed skill: Shadow Blade.
- Added skill:
Betrayer
Throwing knife that spawns a hostile monster with an aura that weakens other monsters.
- Rebalanced skills:
Way of the Spider: Replaced level-based factor with a self-synergy.
Starburst: Now knocks targets into hit recovery.
Blade Barrier: removed NextDelay.
Barbarian
- Reorganised skill trees: melee skills are now in one branch, stances (+ Cautious Strike) in another. This does not affect your skill points, though some synergies may change.
- Removed skills: Phoenix Stance, Lightning Shield, Stormwind.
- Added skills:
Bear Stance
Stance, greatly increases defense and grants damage avoidance, but prevents the use of throwing skills when active.
Use it, dammit.
Spirit Guide
Invulnerable and untargetable spirit wolf that does low damage, but has an aura that increases your damage when you are near the wolf.
Falcon Dive
Throw an axe at an arc towards the target point; all enemies near the point of impact have their resistances lowered, breaking immunities.
- Rebalanced skills:
Titan Strike: Duration frozen at 10 seconds, healing rate increases with skill level.
Shower of Rocks: Added amplify damage effect from hard points, reducing enemy physical resist and breaking immunities.
Conquest: Duration and skill timer increased; new formula leaves more room for +% buff duration.
Snake Stance: Reduced slow effect.
Fortress: Gains +1 arrow per 10 points into Spirit Guide - you wanted it back, here it is.
Greater Manifestations: Added self-synergy to provide an increased life bonus.
Druid
- Removed skill: Friendship. All stances now gain +0.6 radius per hard point.
- Added skill:
Summon Spectral Swarm
Summons a hostile insect swarm with fire, cold and lightning melee damage for you to charm.
- Rebalanced skills:
Blindside: Receives +1 arrow if you invest 50 skill points into the tree.
Nova Shot: Receives +1 nova if you invest 75 skill points into the tree.
Mark of the Wild: Gains a +25% physical damage bonus for each hard point.
Pagan Rites: No longer has a skill timer.
Acid Fiends: Now inherit the caster's +% poison spell damage; corpses are no longer consumable.
Necromancer
- New look for totems, similar to Shadowgate Totems in K3KBA.
- New look for minions: transparent purple/black.
- Crossbow skills now work with non-class-specific crossbows as well.
- Removed skills: Bloody Mary, Liche Totem, Summon Overlord, Dark Legion.
- Added skills:
Widowmaker
Crossbow skill - spike ripple that hits multiple times, but terminates when the initial missile collides with anything.
Vessel of Death
Gives you corpse-itis, causing you to spawn a corpse every X seconds when near enemies.
Summon Void Archon
Similar to the Overlord and with identical stats, but uses black fingermage graphics and can fly; the aura now slows nearby enemies.
Warp Field
Passive, enhances the Void Archon's slow aura by adding an amplify damage effect that can also break immunities.
- Swapped the location of Mana Tide Totem and Vessel of Death/Liche Totem. This does not affect your skill points.

Black Sleep
Same name, different skill. When activated, turns you into a 'zombie of the Light' and locks out all skills except the unholy melee and neutral skills. In return, it enhances your defense and adds physical damage to your attacks.
This should make blackguards a little more useful at low levels (extra damage) and high levels (defense). Lasts 30 seconds.
- Rebalanced skills:
Retribute: Radius now increases by 1.3 yards per level.
Blood Thorns: Thorns are now homing, changed graphic.
Vanquish: Now also grants 100% uninterruptable attack.
Radiance: Removed slow thorns; reduced gold bonus; added self-synergy to gold bonus.
Scourge: Base hit points doubled; gains improved poison damage from Plague.
Sorceress
- Removed skills: Pagan Heart, Stormtouch.
- Added skills:
Covenant
Passive, greatly increases your energy factor when you are near your mercenary, and increases their energy factor.
Synergy from Startouch adds +skill levels, same as Pagan Heart.
Startouch
The same skill, except in blue and instead of damage, it reduces enemy resistances, breaking immunities.
- Rebalanced skills:
Lightning Cascade: Increased damage gain per skill level.
Lightning Wall: Timer removed; duration locked at 3 seconds; wall tiles disintegrate into charged bolts when touched, greatly reducing the number of invisible missiles used.
Flamestrike: Increased damage.
Arcane Fury: Duration is now 5 seconds, removed skill timer; mana regen is now a self-synergy.
- Cold Fear itemeffect = 1
Drops
- Greatly increased unique drop rate in all areas.
- Greatly increased rare drop rate in all areas.
(Uniques: base chance with 0% MF up from 1/600 to 1/75; rares: base chance with 0% MF up from 1/60 to 1/25; set is still 1/25; magic is still 1/6)
- Added 3x4 cluepages with references to uberquests for new players.
Cube recipes
New ingredients
- Scrying Globe - obtained by cubing any rune with a life and mana potion.
- Removed shards and added 'Arcane Crystals' in their place. Same thing in every respect, but with a different graphic, except there is no Dull version, making them more precious and harder to get. In fact, you need a supply of uniques to sustain them, unless you are clever about it...
- Added Dazzling crystal: 3x Brilliant = Dazzling.
° Grail recipes
1x Regular crystal -or- 6x pgem = consumable +1 attribute point.
1x Dazzling crystal = consumable +1 skill point.
Downgrading runes
You now always get 1 rune back instead of 2.
Disenchant recipes
You no longer get white items back, but there is now a new recipe that does this. See below.
Rare tier upgrades
Removed the rare tier upgrade that rerolls the item.
Unique tier upgrades
Now keeps the modifiers of the lower tier instead of rerolling. Sorry, I killed your cheese. But instead, you get the following recipe:
° Crystal shatter recipe
Rare item + gem + 2x Glowing crystals = unique version of rare item.
° Affix burn recipe
Any weapon/armor + scrying globe = low quality version of the same item. Output item level is 1.
° Reroll low quality as regular
This one was missing. Output item level is 95% of input item level.
Gem shatter recipes
The basic gem shatter recipe has an output level of 60% (up from 50%) and the advanced one has an output level of 95% (up from 90).

Magic sorc armor + 5x pruby = +(101-150)% ED, +(1-3) sorc skill levels, +(41-60)% fire skill damage, -(11-20)% enemy fire resist, +(1/lvl) fire resist, [1-4 rare modifiers]

Sockets
You can now get max sockets on items of any ilvl. Removed white item level boost recipe because it is no longer needed.
Affixes
- The level penalty affix now displays on the item.
- Removed (Automod) text from energy factor modifiers.
- New 'skillmod' affixes:

Ubercharms
- Miniature Giant Space Hammer unique charm from K3KBA on Destruction.
- Titanite-4 Alloy Crucifix unique charm from Fauztinville on Destruction.
- Removed heal/kill and mana/kill from the Legacy of Blood to prevent the undeath bug. The item now gives 1% Lifeblood on kills.
- Replaced level 1 Pact of Blood on the Visions with 100% level 50 Blast Wave on death.
Other items
- Several set items are spawning with incorrect bonuses; they will be fixed and a recipe will be implemented to convert them, if possible.
- 'Strength of One'.
- CtC% Retribute is bugged.
Challenges
- Increased LC1 required levels: 20, 25, 30; slightly reduced reward charm stats.
- Removed 1K attribute challenge, it gives people bad ideas about the usefulness of weapon-based builds with 50 strength.
Uberlevels
- Khalimgrad avatars are now preset, so you can no longer summon them.
- Expanded Khalimgrad landmass with two additional sections; the original Khalimgrad area is Downtown, added the Esplanade and Hydroponics, each with a different monster mix.
Monsters
- Nerfed monster Guided Chain by adding ND.
Documentation
- Poison resists in Hatred.
- Robe of Steel tier 6.
- 'Atlantis' Arcane Torrent level.
- Evil Spirit on 'Manta' (bottom: vit--Bloodlust)
Other
- 'Fairy Tale' Frog Prince no longer terminates on casting.
