Soeben lasen wir folgende Meldung im blizzard´schen Statusforum, und nehmen dies zum Anlass auch hier noch einmal zu warnen.
CD-Key Warning:
Blizzard Entertainment will only request your CD-Key or account password through formal technical support procedures in rare instances. Blizzard will never request your CD-Key or Account password in a Battle.net channel or in a Battle.net game. If anyone asks for this information while you are on Battle.net – DO NOT give it to them. Blizzard may ask for this information if you call the technical support phone number, fill out a form on the www.blizzard.com website, or if you send an email to any of the @blizzard.com email addresses. If you are concerned about sending this information over email, please call (949) 955-1382 to speak with a Blizzard Entertainment Technical Support Representative.
Blizzard warnt ausdrücklich davor in irgendeiner Weise im Battle.Net oder sonst wo den Account oder das Passwort preis zu geben. Blizzard selbst wird niemals nach dem Passwort im Battle.Net fragen, sondern nur dann, wenn man den technischen Support telefonisch beansprucht, der unter der oben genannten Nummer erreichbar ist.
Virus Warning:
Third party programs such as trainers, hacks, and cheats can install viruses and „back door“ programs that grant hackers access to your computer. For information on virus scanners please read the Hacks, Warnings and Security Information page.
Blizzard warnt weiterhin ausdrücklich vor dem Herunterladen von Programmen von Dritten. Diese enthalten meistens Trojaner, die Account und Passwort ausspionieren, und damit der eigene Account für immer verloren ist. Man sollte also niemals solche Tools downloaden oder benutzen, sondern immer an hacks@blizzard.com senden.
Warning about being banned from Battle.net:
The use of trainers, cheats, and hacks (including but not limited to map hacks) are not allowed on Battle.net and the use of such programs may result in the banning of your account(s) and possibly even your CD-Key from accessing Battle.net. We regret having to employ extreme measures, however, certain unscrupulous players impair the game play of the Battle.net community as a whole, and severe action is now both warranted and required.
Und als Letztes warnt Blizzard vor der Benutzung jeglicher Trainer, Cheats und Hacks (Maphack eingeschlossen), die sowohl zum Ban des Accounts, bis zum Sperren des gesamten CD Keys führen können. Wir hoffen Ihr nehmt diese Warnungen ernst, denn allzu oft haben sie sich bewahrheitet. ( siehe Hilfe Forum ).
