Blizzard Entertainment kündigt ein neues Projekt an – das kennen wir alle schon. Details hierzu nehmen leider keine konkrete Form an. Für 2007 hat Blizzard zwei große Events auf dem Zettel, wo wir gebannt auf "unsere" Ankündigung – Diablo 3 – warten. Die Blizzard Convention im August in Amerika und die Worldwide Invitational im Mai in Südkorea.
Die Starcraft und die Diablo Community hoffen sehnsüchtig, dass mit diesem neuen Projekt die Fortsetzung ihres Lieblingsspiels gemeint ist.
Für die Veranstaltung in Korea, auf der Blizzard ihre Produkte vorstellt, gibt es auf Blizzard Planet eine Ankündigung, die unseren Puls schneller schlagen lässt:
We do intend to announce a new product at the Worldwide Invitational next month in Korea, and we appreciate the enthusiasm and interest in getting an advance look at what that will be, but players will have to wait until May 19th to find out more.
Also, we have a very strong connection with the characters and settings of StarCraft, and we do plan to revisit that universe at some point in the future, but we don't have anything new to announce in that regard at present.
In dieser Ankündigung steht nicht, dass das neue Produkt Diablo 3 sein wird. Aber der Hinweis, dass es zu Starcraft zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt nichts Neues anzukündigen gibt, lässt eigentlich nur noch die Option offen, dass es sich um Diablo 3 handeln wird.
"Schlimmstenfalls" handelt es sich beim geheimnisvollen neuen Blizzard Projekt um etwas ganz Neues, was bisher noch niemand in Erwägung gezogen hat.
