Nach langem Warten ist es nun endlich soweit … Blizzard bezieht Stellung zu den jüngsten Ereignissen, und das auch noch gleich mehrfach.
So konnten wir in Blizzard´s Diablo II Forum folgendes lesen :
The recent problems are not being ignored and are being worked on.

Shlonglor sagt, daß die Probleme also nicht ignoriert werden, sondern daß man daran arbeitet, und wir bald wieder etwas von Blizzard hören werden.
Und so ist es auch, denn nur kurz danach war dann Folgendes im Battle.Net Status Forum zu lesen :
Diablo II Item Duplication, Realm Stability and Notice
The latest item duplication exploits that occurred over the last several days has been stopped. The lag that has been seen over the last several days on the Diablo II realms was a result of the massive user duplication efforts.
Currently Diablo II realms are very unstable due to the effects of duplicate items upon the servers. We are working to fix this instability as quickly as possible.
Blizzard sagt, daß die häufig zu beobachtenden Lags und die Instabilität der Server lediglich auf das Duplizieren von Items zurückzuführen ist, und bereits daran gearbeitet wird, das Problem in den Griff zu bekommen.
A reminder:
Any individual caught using a hack on Battle.net (including, but not limited to „dupe“ hacks and „server
crash“ hacks) may have their items, characters or Accounts deleted. It is a violation of Battle.net“s Terms of Service to utilize duplicated items. Do not use them. The Battle.net team is devoted to nullifying all hacks and exploits on Diablo 2 realms as well as catching individuals exploiting our games
Blizzard erinnert noch einmal daran, daß die Leute, die erwischt werden, wie sie Angriffe auf die Blizzard Server durchführen, damit rechnen müssen, daß deren Accounts gelöscht werden, und sie vom Spielen im Battle.Net ausgeschlossen werden.
Blizzard macht ganz klar deutlich, daß es eine Übertretung der Battle.net“s Terms of Service ist, wenn man Gebrauch von Tools macht, um Duplikate zu erstellen.
